지지아키텍츠는 2022년 이지홍이 설립한 서울의 건축사사무소이다. 그는 현시대 젊은 건축가 그룹에게 공통으로 나타나는 ‘잡식성’을 띠고 있다. 다만, 사무소의 운영 및 생존을 위한 ‘비자발적 잡식’이 아니라, 그의 생애 주기 전반에 걸친 다양한 분야에 대한 관심과 배움을 통해 얻어진 ‘자발적 잡식성’을 지향한다.
십여 년간의 실무 기간 동안 관찰한 바에 따르면, 건축가는 시스템에서 비롯된 평면을 구축하는 데 중점을 두는가 하면, 공간 디자이너는 에스테틱에서 비롯된 분위기 구축에 집중한다. 위 두 요소는 모두 장소를 만드는 데 중요함에도 불구하고, 산업적 구조 혹은 교육 커리큘럼으로 인해 차별적 가치를 부여 받았다. 또한 각 전문가는 각 요소를 타 분야에 속하는 것으로 재정의 함과 동시에 외면함으로서 분업화가 심화 되었다.
지지아키텍츠는 위 두 요소를 적극적으로 수용하며 조율하여 공간과 장소를 만드는 행위에 흥미를 갖고 있다.
또한 사회 현상에 대한 대안적 사고가 가구와 건축의 디테일에 까지 영향을 끼칠 수 있음을 탐구하고 있다.

ZZArchitects is an architectural studio founded in 2022 by Jihong Lee, and based in Seoul. Like many architects of his generation, Lee exhibits a kind of multivorous sensibility—one that transcends disciplinary boundaries.
However, unlike the involuntary eclecticism often driven by survival or studio management, ZZArchitects follows a path of intentional multivorousness, rooted in a lifelong engagement with a wide range of disciplines and modes of learning.
Over more than a decade of professional practice, Lee observed a structural divide: Architects often prioritize systems and planning, while spatial designers focus on atmosphere shaped by aesthetics. Though both are crucial to the creation of place, this split—reinforced by industry structures and academic curricula—has led many practitioners to ignore or overlook the other side entirely.
ZZArchitects chooses not to ignore this gap, but to engage with it.
The studio is drawn to the threshold between disciplines, and explores how alternative thinking shaped by social phenomena might reveal itself—even in the smallest details of furniture.
